Sweet Southern Sisters

Hey sisters! We are so glad you’re here to go on this new adventure with us as we talk about ALL THE THINGS, literally! We are just a couple of sisters -in -law raising kids, husbands and our crazy dogs while loving and praising Jesus through it all. 

Our hope is to help other women out there in this big ol’ crazy world find their place and make it their own.

So who are we individually?

I’m Michelle, one half of SSS. I’ve been married to Erica’s brother, Chad for almost 15 years. Chad and I have 3 children, Jaide (23), Hallie (21) and Chase (9). Jaide and her husband, Kyle had their first baby in 2022 making Chad and I first time grandparents and let me tell y’all, it’s the absolute best!  After being a cosmetologist for 15 years, I retired to help my husband with his business, Big L Construction which has been thriving for over two years now. We recently bought a farm and building our dream home while helping our kids to move on the farm too, we are so excited to have all of our babies close to us. I sing at church and every time I get the chance, there is nothing in this world I love more than praising Jesus. Which leads me to this-The most important thing you need to know about me is the fact that I am a Christian through and through! As you get to know me, you’ll learn that I love to change things up. My hair, my home decor, my clothing style, but the one thing about me that will never, ever change is my love for Jesus Christ. He is and always will be the center of my life, my business, my marriage, and anything else going on in my life! I absolutely cannot wait to share house updates, home decorating tips and all things life with y’all. Also, I am so excited to go on this new journey with my sweet sister-in-law, Erica and can’t wait to experience it all with her. God bless and don’t forget to love like Jesus!

I am Erica, the other half of SSS.  I am married to my husband Jon, going on 10 years now.  We have 2 children, Cole (almost 19) and Cate (almost 14).  Jon Clark didn’t just marry me, but he vowed to love and cherish my children for the rest of his life as well.  I was a teacher for 22 years, from elementary all the way through middle school, teaching so many kids along the way.  However, I felt the need to change my career path a few years ago after my parents passed away.  There’s something about tragedy that brings on a sense of renewal and desire of change.  I am now a local Realtor, helping folks buy and sell their properties.  I love the real estate life, going into homes, getting new ideas for my own!  It is a lot of fun and I love helping and serving people.  My husband and I also started a storage company called Noah’s Ark Storage based out of Somerset, KY.  Our love story is a special one (that will be for another time!) and our marriage grows stronger every year because we have made a commitment to put Jesus into the center of it.  I spend most of my time following my kids around.  My son is a state championship quarterback that just started college at Eastern Kentucky University (my Alma mater!) and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. My daughter is a Girls Academy soccer goalie that aspires to heights beyond her wildest Imagination (I want to be her when I grow up!)  Most importantly, my children love Jesus, and they are Heaven bound, and this is what I am most proud.  When my sis Michelle and I started throwing around this idea of sharing our love for our families, our struggles, being moms and wives, and how Jesus has provided for us and opened these doors, we knew this was the way to do it. We hope you enjoy this journey with us.  We love you, but Jesus loves you more!
